Hi folks Hit a bit of a snag with the wife's car. Had to disconnect the battery while doing some work on the car last week. After finishing the work I discovered a problem, which I can only assume is caused by incorrect disconnection of the battery, in turn causing a corruption of the BSI.
All the wires to the tailgate go through the rubber tube so possibly a few of them have broken or maybe just the earth wire. This is from the C4 Technical section Common Problems pinned topic and it may be worth contacting your Citroen dealer in case they may do the repair free of charge: 13. No, that wasn't an issue when I had the problem with the microswitch in this thread. However, it does sound familiar from another problem I had where the front passenger door was randomly locking the whole car. The problem traced to a failed sensor/CPU in the front passenger door which was sending incorrect signals.

Just remove the emergency key from the fob, turn once to the rear in the driver's door to lock and again within 5 seconds to deadlock. Doing this will not activate the alarm.
