in the remastered they changed all the weapons around so some weapons that were previously in the shop are now only craftable in the homestead. But they didn't change any of the recruit's choice of weapon so some recruits cannot equip their weapon if Connor hasn't crafted it yet. That's just stupid. Even the Ezio collection was/is broken.
In combat, you can choose a multitude of weapon types. Unarmed: great for disarming enemies weilding heavy weapons, perhaps the best stance to take once you get it. Hidden Blades: Good for assassinations, allow for instant kills from behind even IN combat. Once in combat the counterattack timing has an incredibly small window of opportunity.
I can't figure out how to access the second melee wheel. Help me out here if you know what I missed. Thx. you can also swith between both wheels with ^, i dont know if that changes with keyboards in other countries. I don't know if this is well known but in the remaster you can buy any weapon and afterwards switch to them at any moment by holding the weapon wheel button and then pushing the left stick (if it's a melee weapon) or the right stick (if it's a firearm) to display the list of all your owned weapons in that category.
