On Japan Airlines, expect a much more personalized experience in first class versus business class, with only up to eight passengers in the cabin and two dedicated crew members. First class passengers also get more space at the seat as well as elevated food and beverages on offer.
If you have flexible dates, you can get a round-trip economy ticket from Toronto to Hong Kong for about $2500. An upgrade to Cathay Pacific Premium Economy is approximately $1200 more. Upgrading to Business Class is about an extra $4000. That’s a huge price difference between premium economy and business class.
The first class staff is exceptional. One of the fun things on the Acela is to be on the fastest train in Amtrak’s fleet. while on board we reached a maximum speed of 150mph! It was a new experience to ride a train going that fast in the US. Overall, we found this to be very enjoyable and a bit better experience than the business class seats.
Business-class seating is a step up from premium economy—a little extra luxury, for less money than a first-class ticket. Business-class customers get better food and drink offerings, and a Cabin with dedicated crew, though the Club Suite cabin is significantly larger than the first cabin. The big X factor of the Club Suite product and the biggest benefit it has over first class is that each Suite has a sliding door.
